Hello,

I'm getting ready to start my build soon. I would like to know how or where to get the pouches that sit under the chest plate? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What makes the pouches hold their bulky shape? is there something inside of them to make them look bulky?

I have foam in mine to keep the shape. Others have built their own rigid boxes that not only keep the shape but make the pouches usable. For example I think Stasz uses his for his mic setup.

I used craft foam to line the inside of my pouches, a suggestion I read in a previous post somewhere here on the boards. Like this: http://www.michaels.com/creatology-foam-sheet-12x18/M10597609.html

My icomm/aker goes in one pouch and the other I use for my phone, business/trading cards and anything else that I may need to put in there during a troop.

Pouches are very easy to make if you've access to a sewing machine. I followed the patterns linked above to make mine. And, yes, I also use foam to fill out the pouches and I use mine to hold all the voice amp and Rom FX stuff.

However, I would leave making the 'bund and pouches till toward the end of your build. That way, once you have the upper torso armour and belt sitting where they should be you will have a much better idea on what size pouches you will need to fit your frame. They are not a one size fits all unfortunately.
