Flight suit in Canada

Recommended Posts

Hey all

Does anyone have any sourcing for a good base flight suit that is available in Canada? Doing some looking around and I'm not coming up with anything. Where did the other Canadian folks get their?

Cheers.

Hi Ben. See if you can obtain a RedKap via Amazon or other source. Those are the base suits of choice for the Pathfinders. You can also check through the soft armor forum here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showforum=7

Redkap/Amazon.com unfortunately does not ship to Canada. Amazon.ca does not stock the Redkap suit. I ended up getting a Wampa Wear suit and paid for the shipping.

Alternatively you can always rent a PO box if you are close to the border.

Honestly? You're better off just getting a regular set of black coveralls and tailoring it (riding patch, thigh straps, mudflap, neck closure, pocket removal). Plenty of work stores or surplus stores in and around Toronto that'll have something. ;)

Princess Auto doesn't stock much more than the hi-viz stuff. I'd try looking on ebay, or if you've got someone who's handy with a sewing machine, find a basic jumpsuit pattern at Fabricland and have it made. I did that... sorta.

I lucked out on eBay. I resolved to get a set of coveralls then I found a seller in California that was trying get rid of a bunch of black racing suits. $50.00 (U.S.) and it comes with a Mandrin collar, no pockets and elastic cuffs on the legs (don't need to add stirrups) and on the wrists. The fit is perfect, not baggy in the legs and it has a Velcro strap at the waist that can be cinched up. The only thing I need to do is add the riding patches and thigh elastic straps. If you're interested, search "Black Racing Suit" on eBay and you'll find it. They ship to Canada.
