So I've been active on the UK Garrison forums for a while now but for some reason I've never thought to do a build thread on here, so here we go I guess.

 

First off I got the vinyl stuck down to the front of the boots, it needs a bit of tidying up but overall I'm quite pleased with them.

I would replace the laces with flat white ones or elastic. Also I would stretch the vinyl on the toe a little more.

I agree, you will need to remove the grommets at the top and I am seeing some waves in the front. It should be smooth. Pull, stretch, heat, repeat several times to get it nice and smooth. Usually about three or four times. Keep working.

Just working on the belt, struggling to think of a way to stick the back straps to the actual plastic.
