I have a magnet setup and I'm curious how people mounted the magnet to the boots? Just walking around the blaster would fall out if I turned. BikerScout007 Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 My magnet is on the bracket inside the boot that helps the boot hold its shape. I glued the rare earth magnet on it with E6000. A couple years after that was posted, I put up a tutorial for adding round magnets under the transistor. It's much stronger if you can get your blaster cast with the magnet embedded in the resin though. Edit, here's my 2014 tutorial. stasz Posted April 9, 2016 Share Posted April 9, 2016 Had this posted in similar discussion a while back: You can also drill out the circle (in red) on the hand grip and glue in a rare earth magnet, and sew a little pouch on the inside of the boot enclosing another magnet or metal piece to bind to, or even put Velcro on your trigger guard (in green), and corresponding Velcro in the holster. I was thinking of using that and a couple of rare earth magnets in my holster. I'm struggling with taking a knife to my Hyperfirm. I don't think I have the guts to do it. Good point and I think you're spot on with the heavier resin types but my Hyperfirm was pretty light. I've since gone with Lou's modified blaster with the mag cast in.
