ldal Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I realized after everything was taken off that on the back view, everything kind of looks...askew. Also, Velcro is not attached to anything on the arms yet, I wanted to get input on the placement first. Not everything turned out 100% the way I wanted, but..that's how it goes. Thanks for input! 2
BikerScout007 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Looks really great! Just a question -- is the closure on your bund off-center or was it just twisted for the picture? Also, we like it when your bicep armor is turned forward for pics. It's just fancier that way!
ldal Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 I think it is a little twisted, because the black elastic coming up the back was centered when tried on. BUT, the bund closure is not centered exactly (we were maybe 0.5 inches off center). Do you think that will be a problem? (That's one of those things that didn't turn out exactly right measurement-wise, and didn't want to remake the bund over 0.5 inches) :/
BikerScout007 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Probably okay for basic approval. Depends on your GML. If it's not too far off it probably wouldnt stop a Lancer application, but we have to take those on a case by case basis. Regardless, you look great!
ldal Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 Thanks! Not even thinking about Lancer at this point, there are definitely things I would change if I was going for that.
BikerScout007 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Thanks! Not even thinking about Lancer at this point, there are definitely things I would change if I was going for that. ALWAYS think about Lancer. Always. 2
Griffin-X Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Lindsey - very nicely done. As mentioned above, just a few tweaks and you'll look top notch. I do not see anything that would hold up approval at this point. The bund closure should really be more on centered up but you can work on that little tweak. Very impressive considering you did this on your own! You go girl! 1
Dmorja Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Nice job! Really impressive. I guess we all need to think like a Lancer when we put our suit on.
ldal Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 Thank you Jim and Retrofire and Dmorja! Ok, BikerScout007, you twisted my arm, I will think about Lancer in the future : ) I cut open the bund and recut the closure. It is now centered, I hope it still looks that way tomorrow. I wasn't happy with it anyway, so maybe now I can stop sweating about that detail. New pics will be coming up. I wish it didn't look so bunchy in the back. But, it's tight where the belt covers it, so idk. 2

ldal Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 Will do, Cheyenne. Thanks, Damian! Round 2 pics: I wish there was a way to make the back of the bund smooth, but unless it's cinched like a corset, there is no way. (at least now the back is centered) 2
BikerScout007 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Nicely done! I see a new Lancer in our future! I wouldn't worry too much about the bund not being perfectly smooth. It's not supposed to be: 1
Griffin-X Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I agree with Mickey, you're looking good. Nice work on the bund fix, too. I also see a new Lancer coming up! 1
Chunk Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Looks Great! Always nice to have another scout in the ranks. 1
ldal Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 Thank you, you will get there! It was a lot of work, but so worth it
