if i have lancer then modify slightly for trooping what happens?

just a quick question.

If i get Lancer status but then decide i want to switch out the chest/back under arm side strap from cotton to elastic nylon because I think it will give me a better fit; Do i lose lancer status? become Lancer Retired?

No. But the elastic needs to stay the same size and color as the cotton you use.
