SeveredOblivion
I've searched around a bit but I couldn't find an exact comparison of different flight suits. I know with the Red Kap CT-10's Chunk can mod them but I only have found the Wampa Wear flightsuit. Being as I'm about to order my gloves from WW tagging on the suit seems logical. But if it's not up to snuff I'd rather go down a different path. Thanks for the input
Chunk
The WW is a Tie, Crewman, Imperial coverall with all the pockets. Its a nice suit to use for any of the black coverall costumes. But it cost too much to mod. Why pay 4x the price of a RedKap when you still need to do major mods to it.
Scavenger
I'm going to check out this one... http://mobile.myjumpsuit.com/eppolstret1.html ...it looks comfy, doesn't have a hell of a lot of things to fix, and if it doesn't work out they have a great return policy. TrooperK
Sweet. Anybody have any experience with the suit Scavenger is contemplating?
missleia
Not that one. WW has the Racing suit for BikerScout - http://www.wampawear.com/black-racing-suit/ All you need is to add the mud flap and riding patch.

Need to take in the legs apx 2", add the 2" elastic around the theighs, then add the mud flap & riding patch. Still a lot of mods for over $100. RedKap goes for around $30. SeveredOblivion
Thanks for the input everyone, sorry for the delayed response. Seems like Red Kap is the way to go for the $ spent.

Looks like you'll need to make similar modifications as the Red Kap. (Add collar, suede patches and remove the pockets)
Scavenger
Yes, those are the mods I will have to make. I'm big on texture and tactile knowledge. I haven't felt a Red Kap and they seem easy to get ahold of so that's why I wanted to try this other out first, I'm not an engineer after all. I'm pretty pleased with how it feels, I may order a Red Kap as well before I start making mods just to make a better comparison and make myself spend some more planning time. If I like both its not like having two under suits modded at the same time wouldn't cut down on future replacement if I liked it.
drache
Are there any tuts out there for modifying the RedKap suit?

Retrofire
I think if you look through the build threads you can find some mods. Try Battswhatsup, pandatrooper, and wookievader's threads. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
Scavenger
Ok so the Red Kap I ordered showed up today and I have to say off the bat...wow, is that thing heavy. It weighs about 3x as much as the Sweet Co. one. Color is basically the same, SwC suit has a bit of a, I dunno...sheenier aspect but to me (in my inexperience with all things coverall) it's not really noticeable. Texture is a big difference, think canvas painters drop cloth (RK) vs a heavier business shirt (SwC). RK gives me a diaper butt looking issue (yay for non-mesomorph bodies!) and feels like it hangs a bit more in the crotch. Anyone able to answer if that is common and will it be addressed by the mudflap and elastic from the cod or should I have it addressed in tailoring? SwC kinda feel like it's going to be a seat picker if I have to drop to a knee but the flap may address that by keeping it out (or I can have it let out a bit maybe). If anyone cares to share fit stories/experiences I'm sure it would benefit someone else too... Here's some pictures of the two on for comparison... RK first: And now the SwC:
stasz
When I first ordered my RedKap I went a size up per the suggestions/comments on Amazon. I ended up taking it in significantly - diaper butt - bit also took in the arms, legs, etc. Being coveralls, they're going to be baggy. I ordered another Redkap for the TIE pilot I'm currently working on, and ordered to my proper size and was very pleased with the fit (though the pilots aren't as "fitted" as scouts... A bit baggier). If the SwC comes out well, it's always nice to have another option! WW makes wonderful stuff, but as has been said, it's very expensive to still have to substantially mod. To me, for the price it should be good to go.

RK first: And now the SwC: Thanks for the info as I'm getting ready to make a decision on what base to buy. The SwC intrigues me as how you talk about it leads me to believe it might be a bit thinner. (Live in Vegas). Btw what model of the SwC is that? I see there's several on their site. Thanks!
