Army Scout
If one wanted to do an uncamouflaged BARC, would they just opt for the standard black flightsuit instead? I know, it's a question with an obvious answer but someone would inevitably ask it. I would say "Yes". Dont see why that would change, but of course it would not be canon

Ghst915
I was also thinking of the same pattern dude, i was over at the Marine base here in Tampa the past few days in a row and seen the new digi camo they had on and it lloked really good from a far. If its dyed dark brown it should look good. You might also try it with a little black mixed in too not too much thou. Let us know how to looks. Cant wait to hear from you on the helmet too and getting mine from him. WOO HOO.

I can see the jumpsuit working well, the only real difference I see is the camo pattern on the jumpsuit travels horizontally, and the BARc camo appears to travel vertically. Any chance of getting a bolt of the fabric at all and reverse the flow of the pattern? I like the jumpsuit, thats the closest thing I've seen so far and is very workable. TB-7076
There is a new camouflage hype in common street wear lately here in germany (apart from black, red, gold due to the football world championships ). However I often see some dark woodland camouflage based on the US scheme which comes quite near. Unfortunately I could't catch one of those to ask where they got their pants as I was always in the car and in a hurry - so I couldn't stop by and ask. Its got alot of green in it...
TB-7076
Do you know if the fabric can be died? I ma not too fond of the digital pattern as on screen it looks more like natural dots on screen.
Ghst915
Do you know if the fabric can be died? I ma not too fond of the digital pattern as on screen it looks more like natural dots on screen. This is what I pla n to use unless someone find this pattern turned the right way running up and down. For $50 buck its not bad, I like it better then the US digital camo. Russian combat gear And this is even closer with a little darkening up done to it. This cost a little more but worth it for the right pattern. Ladyghost4459
If one wanted to do an uncamouflaged BARC, would they just opt for the standard black flightsuit instead? I know, it's a question with an obvious answer but someone would inevitably ask it. Wouldn't a khaki or tan flightsuit be more appropriate? You would want your base color to start off lighter than your add on colors wouldn't you? If you base color is too dark the "camo"ing would be too dark too. Just a thought. TB6675
The Marines use the MARPAT pattern. Its got alot of green in it... Theres a couple problems about the Marine Digital cammies, They are very water resistant (meaning becareful with the dying process you might go overboard )they were designed as to not need ironing (so you will almost allways have creases) and if you stare at the pattern to long up close you tend to develop a headache but i found a set of the diffrent cammies here but the price is astronomical for a country that should have surplus military uniforms by the truckload http://www.tridentmilitary.com/Russian.camouflage.htm
TB-7076
I've been to a punk festival last weekend and there were several people wearing pants with bleached patterns. I think I try to do that with a dark olive cotton fabric and see if that could be a technique to achieve that BARC camo pattern.
TB6675
I've just noticed skyfortress is now making barc costumes and boots there are no pictures up yet so i'm curious if anyone has ordered any of the barc armor yet http://www.starfortressproductions.com/swtheempire.html
TB-1019
Whatever you do, DO NOT order from Star Fortress. That is, unless you like giving up your money to people who will take two years to get something to you, if you get anything at all. There is also a very shady history behind the people who started that company. Buy from them at your own risk.

TB-1019
A garrisonmate ordered a set of snow trooper soft armor from them and it took two years. There is also a criminal past, something to do with the original business owner fleeing the U.S. to escape prosecution for child sexual abuse, and marrying a minor in the Philippines. People say he is no longer involved with the business, but there is evidence from some who have dealt with them recently that he still has ties as some kind of middleman. Found it at Joanns fabric store. Went back last night to get some dye and they were out of black. So that is just a photoshop job. I think a bit darker would be real close.
