Forest Ranger Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Mine's pretty close to my snout, I'll double check though.
Retrofire Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Ok. Just wanted to save you extra work:) Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

Retrofire Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Quite possibly Darn Texans Your knees are looking great! I ended up cutting the 0.5" in half and sewing on some Velcro to make it easier to put them on over my flight suit. Now i just have to find a way to pad the lower curve of the armor as the return edge really digs into the bottom of my knee. 2
Griffin-X Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Nah, I indicated that I have OCD and would paint it to match the snout and rectangle. But, it's not a hard fast requirement at this time. It's just a lighter shade of gray. 2
Forest Ranger Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 My main goal was to not have as much to do on Saturday with rivets, and such. I really want to finish this belt, and my chest/back armor. 1
Retrofire Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 That is some good looking armor! The rounded shoulder bells look great. I really enjoyed building the updated SC. Look forward to seeing the belt. Great job Cheyenne! 2
wookieevader Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Now i just have to find a way to pad the lower curve of the armor as the return edge really digs into the bottom of my knee. Me too....i am thinking of putting some thin foam weather stripping in that area Something like this 1
Forest Ranger Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 I went ahead and went with the 1.5" elastic for my biceps. 1
Griffin-X Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I went ahead and went with the 1.5" elastic for my biceps. Very nice, I like your technique.
Forest Ranger Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Very nice, I like your technique. You taught me best! See ya tomorrow! 1
Forest Ranger Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Gonna see about doing to chest/back straps for the shoulders and sides later today when I wake up, and possibly continue on my belt. I've added velcro to where the material needs to stick, but haven't re-measured for the drop boxes since bringing it home. 1
Bubonos Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Looking great trooper! You will be dodging trees with the best soon enough! 1
Forest Ranger Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Tank came off, so going to velcro it to the inside of my back armor...Trial and error type day I guess. Also, got one shoulder bridge down.
Forest Ranger Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Both shoulder bridges done while tank velcro reinforcement dries. 1
Griffin-X Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Both shoulder bridges done while tank velcro reinforcement dries. If that does not get it we'll go hard core on it. Nice work!
Retrofire Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Both shoulder bridges done while tank velcro reinforcement dries. I am continually amazed at the variety of techniques I have encountered here to build armor. Really nice work Cheyenne I'm excited to see it coming together for you! 1
