Good morning all.

So I'm taking my 1st steps (pun intended, awful as it is) toward building out my gear, and my first hurdle will be the shoes. I have size 15 foot, so my choices are always limited.

Will this boot work for 501 approval?

Thanks!

(Note... I goofed and posted this originally in the other boot forum... oops. Nice first start, eh?)

If you don't mind my asking, how tall are you?

I too have size 15 feet, and I'm over 6'7" (but then I know a guy who's 6'2" with 17's).

I'm 6'4". You know what they say about guys with big hands and big feet.... big gloves and big shoes. :P

I've also heard they wear those big shoes till they fall off in pieces! ;)

At least you're only slightly taller than an ideal clone, my canon choices are Vader and small Wookies! :(

I'm determined to be the tallest endor scout in my Garrison! :)

I doubt you'll have any problems with that Michael.

If it's all you can find for your shoe size, then I say use it.

(Not everyone will be able to have the exact same boot. And weathering always helps them look "battle tested." )

I have used military desert tan boots. (My son and I wear a size 13.)

It would just need the Dremmel modifications to the sole and make sure that the boot topper and shins cover the shoe laces as best as possible.

(Maybe design a piece of leather flap to cover the laces to help with the boot topper and shins.)

I did a lot of shopping around the past several days, and it looks like that boot is my best choice for the size of my feet (found it on Ebay $20 cheaper... hooray!). Thanks for the feedback!

I will start dying the camo next week, so on to that forum board when I start that project. :D
