TheScouterSays Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 So I've been making do with screws for various parts of my armor, but I'm finding that my best bet is going to be with rivets for attaching the boot holster to the boot. However, I'm still reluctant on spending money on a rivet gun that I'll only use for this and then probably not use it again, so if nothing else, I'll need one that's inexpensive but still useful for riveting on the boots. Any recommendations? Quote

01Hawk Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 It doesn't have to be a one time use! Just start riveting stuff instead of using tape and glue! 1 Quote
Chunk Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I've used my $5 Harbor Freight rivet tool for years. Quote
indylead Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I just bought a small hand-held one for a few euros - it even came with the right sized rivets for the boot. And useful to keep in case I have to repair the boots! Quote
stasz Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I got a Stanley gun from Home Depot for about $15 and I love having it. I've only used it a couple times besides my armor, but when you run across something around the house you can use it for, it's like "hot damn! I have just the thing!" Quote
indylead Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 LOL I thought that might happen with the riveter...but not yet. I do however have some very neatly arranged computer cables as *someone* had a shedload of velcro left over. Quote
