Okay so I'm working on strapping my armor components and SC included instructions for all of their gear. My big question is, what size straps are the best to use for each elastic strapped part? SC included 1.5 mm for shoulders, elbows/forearms, and knees. I ask because I'd rather have the proper straps than to widen the strap holes and not have the correct strap size.

The sizes for each are correct to 501st CRL. So check there, not all are the same. Knees and i think forearms get the thinner stuff. 2nd page has finer details if I recall

I've already widened the holes on the body pieces to CRL 50mm, then I see in the lancer specs its approx 45mm :/ prob too big now

Lancer spec said forearm straps are 1" and bicep armor 1-3/8 inch. I pm'd Griffin asking for clarification once he's available.

That matches the graphical on 501st.com and how I've divvied mine up.

I don't intend on cutting any more as they seem to fit well. Just there was no way the 2" was going in the hole nicely on the body parts so I chomped into them :/

Couldn't have made a total mess of it man. Besides I am being extremely careful on assembly with mine because it's a lot easier to take off than to put back on.
