Hey guys my name is Nigel from Hawaii on the island of Kauai and just finished up my SC helmet after 4 weeks of putting it together and painting. I wanted to go for more of a screen accurate weathered look but my airbrush was giving me a hassle and ended up with a bit more weathering haha. I think it came out pretty good considering my screw ups. Will post the pics up soon

So I tried to attach the photos and the size of them was too big I guess. I resized them and that worked but the quality sucks now. Any ideas on uploading pics here?

I would join your local garrison and find out who will be approving your build and find out from them on the weathering... Better to be safe if that is your end goal.

No problem . Mine isn't weathered but I would like to. I am holding off till I am approved and then will do it. Some people get really picky when it comes to too much/too little. Personally I really like how yours looks but it would suck to go through the trouble of weathering it up and being shot down for it being too dirty

Thanks man I guess I did okay for my first helmet haha. Hopefully it'll be acceptable I'd really like to get everything approved once I'm finished. I'll try and contact the local GML to send them the pics of the helmet and see what they think.

If you see the actual screen used helmets in real life, the weathering isn't very much less than that. I think it looks pretty good.

That's great lexbomb! Building the helmet was fun and couldn't of done it without ever discovering this forum. I've caught the bug and can't wait to start on the armor already but don't quite have the funds for it right now haha. Did you go with SC as well?
