NinjaScout
Mud flap is pinned. Can someone take a look and see if it looks right? I think I have the right height and rear coverage but is the piece too wide? I can cut some off and re-pin before sewing. Thanks, scouts! Griffin-X
I'd scale it back about 1/2" on the sides and about 3/4" on the bottom. The top is good but could be about 1/2" lower on the suit.
NinjaScout
Jim, Just to echo back before I cut... Take 1/2 inch off of each side - 1 Inch total Take 3/4 inch off the bottom Move the whole thing down 1/2 inch. It may end up on the elastic band on the redkap. Should it be above or below that band? Thanks!
Griffin-X
You got it. The flap should be right at the elastic band. That's how mine (a Redkap) is setup.
Chunk
Is that a RedKap suit? Just make the patch as wide as the 2 pleats & if it is a RedKap just sew it at the base of the "waistband". I make the riding patch the width of the pleats & add 1 inch to the length. For example, it the with of the pleats is 11 inches i will make the length 12 inches.
