attach tank on backarmor

hi guys, I am researching for my next step: tank, tanktopper, chest and back armor

 

I will attach the greeblie on the tank using a rivet + washer and some glue. The tank will be attached on the bottom using a rivet.. so far so good.

 

I want to know if you can glue the tank on the backarmor and does anyone have pics of this.. I know I can create a bridge like pandatrooper and many others did, but still looking for alternatives

What kind of armor do you have?

 

The rivets with Panda's bridge method do hold it just fine, and at least on SC kit there are still gaps even though it has the "hump" guide on the back armor. There isn't as much surface to adhere to as it may seem.

 

Panda's method will get you a securely mounted and screen accurate tank, gaps and all.

 

I can't remember who it was, but someone put a little hatch in the back armor that could access the tank to stow some things. Snacks, maybe?

thanks Stasz! I do have SC as well.. :-) I will look into it. i do have an idea as an alternative: I can create a bridge on the inside of the tank horizontally, this bridge will lay flat on the "hump" guide. Then I'll rivet the bridge and the " hump" guide together.. just an idea :-)

I used 5min 2 part epoxy. I spread the glue around the entire inside of the tank close to the edge. With the back armor laying on a table i set the tank in the right spot & held for 5min. All the glue ran down & secured the tank & back. Been holding together for over 2yrs now. Did the same procedure for my Snow Scout.
