Original Tamiya Motorcycle Parts?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what Tamiya model kit included the snout piece for the Scout bucket? I've been looking around for a while and can't seem to find what specific kit its from. The two kits I've heard of having a similar piece are the Yamaha XS1100G and the Honda CB750 models but I can't seem to find a picture with the snout piece in the kit. If anyone knows which kit it's in or where to find an accurate mold, please comment below. Thanks.

It was a Yamaha xs1100 "Midnight Special" kit. Here's a post about it I made for the Biker Scout Helmet Project fb page:

That page, super-hobby.hu had a bunch of info on it.

Also, our very own Darth Voorhees makes a beautiful snout greeblie. I have one of his on my bucket.

Ok so I'm looking at page 173 of "Costumes" and I see our snout has made it on to a rebel backpack, those thieves...and that lower greeble on the pack looks very similar to the lower t-bit...perhaps a cousin? It's also on the B, A, and Y wing costumes.

Your eyes are not deceiving you. If you look at all 3 movies, they made tons of the same greeblies but used them in all sorts of ways. For example, in ROTJ, the bit on the scout thermal det is also part of Ackbar's and other rebels rank bars. A smaller part of it is on the Y-Wing helmets (the bit where the mic comes out of). Same goes for the MPC Vader Tie Advanced wing bit (a.k.a. the top part of our T-bits); it's actually also found on the boots of Boussh.
