First Helmet

Recommended Posts

Wow, some great information here about lids.

I'm a little confused on which would be the best one to get. Ideally I would like to go down the approval route.

My head is 58cm and tall.

How easy are the helmets to build for a none DIY kind of guy, I'm good at graphic design on the PC but do get a little all thumbs when it comes to modifying items.

Is there anybody near Wiltshire in the uk that makes he helmet who could help me?

thanks

Paul

HI me again, expanding on the post above, I've just found 2 helmets on sale Version 1 and Version 2 by Newimage58 for a really good price.

Looing at the version 2 helmet seems to my untrained eye to be a good replica.

what's your thoughts

Version 1 http://www.newimage58.co.uk/biker%20scout%20v1.html

Version 2 http://www.newimage58.co.uk/biker%20v2.html

for the money think v2 would ideal starter as I got to get everything else

thanks

Paul

You should contact Chef (in the UK), or check out Spike's thread in the trade section (below). I do not recommend the NI helmet you are reviewing. We do not have anything positive on it, and most scouts avoid it.

Hope this helps, but at the end of the day, do what you feel is best with your investment. :bikerscout:
