W.T.F Scout build thread

Hello everyone! After finishing my Commander Cody build, I have decided to make a Biker Scout suit for my next set of armor. For my armor I pre-ordered W.T.F(Walt's Trooper Factory) Biker Scout set for $450 dollars. So, while waiting for my armor I decided to work on the soft parts. I ordered a RedKap suit and am working on the modifications for that at the moment. I got my boots from Walmart and am currently putting the vinyl on them. I ordered my blaster from Hyperfirm last week so that should be arriving in the near future. I plan on ordering my gloves from Wampa and having someone make my cummerbund for me. Any tips along the way would be great!

Awesome! One post under your belt and you already know what took me a few days to figure out after my first post! Kudos!

I'm excited to see Walt`s scout kit. He seems like a really cool guy. How long did he say it would be before you get your kit?

Here's what I have so far on boot number one. How does it look? I have stretched and glued on the toe piece and glued the trim piece around the bottom. To fix the soles I am going to paint them one color and cut them to be more screen accurate.

He said it would be around a month or two depending how busy he is.

Can't wait to see how you get your together! :smiley-sw013:

Im impressed. Is that just some stuffing (the white) on the tounge to smooth it out?

Currently trying to source some vinyl/pvc now. Are you using the type in the material shops with the material back?

You may have wanted to leave laces in the boots before gluing down the vinyl. Unless you have some other plan.

I have replaced the laces with elastic so I don't have to tie them, and it will make them easier to slip on.

Is there a certain height they need to be? or scaled down to fit yourself?

It's based on your size. Typically about 1.5" or so from the bottom of the knees. The last thing you want is for them to be touching.

Boots look great! Could you share the color/type of paint you used on the soles? It seems some folks have a hard time finding solid color soles and this info would come in handy!

And definitely keep us posted on the WTF kit! I got my TIE armor from him and it's pretty great. I'm really looking forward to seeing his Scout
