I've been looking around, and honestly, I can't find any boots being sold that fit a size 15 (queue the Sasquatch jokes), so I decided to make them myself seeing as how online tutorials show it being done with relatively no hassle. I know the kind of boot to use, but I was wondering if this is the right kind of fabric I should be using, or if I am even in the same ballpark.

That might be the right kind. You want a heavier vinyl, something not deeply textured, Sometimes it's called "Marine Vinyl".

Seems like you're on the right track. I too feel your pain. I've got a pair of size 13E's and it can be tough finding shoes.

If you have one local, go in and take a look. I *believe* that's the one I got from Joann's, but not sure. It should have a slight texture to it, but not leathery-wrinkly looking. Picture a vinyl covered barstool...

Thank you very much haha! That's actually a perfect description, I'll start looking for that!

Okay, next question, because I was dumb and didn't ask before.

What should the base boots for my scout boots be?

Should I go with the typical rain-boot kind of thing? Or should I use a specific kind of work boot? Suggestions?
