batninja Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 One of the biggest hurdles in trooping is being able to dress yourself without assistance or a 'handler'. Some have figured out how to shimmy into their vest and cummerbund, and for those folks, I applaud you. Another concern is always having the cummerbund 'droop' during trooping. We've found ways around that by adding snaps or Velcro to the flight suit and cummerbund. I'm not sure if this has been done before, but I'm going to try it for mine: Sew the vest and cummerbund into one piece, with the Lancer-required Velcro closure in the back, and a small zipper closure in the front. A separate ribbing/codpiece assembly with Velcro on the back is attached to the front of the cummerbund. Once the chest armor and belt is worn and the pouches are attached (I plan to hang them from the chest armor), any seams for the ribbing/codpiece assembly are hidden. What should be left should still pass for Lancer specs, I think. Thoughts? Please note that the diagram is not exactly drawn to scale!

Personally I'd prefer the vest/bund separated. once together you should clearly see all the bund ribs, with a zip it will be really hard to hide the edges on the last rib
