bluecyclone
Maybe I should ask before I say something negative but I think it might be vital for future lancer aspirants - may I? I was leaving it for Chris to bro This is the tank top I ordered from the UK. Anything "negative" about this one?
TB-7076
No that one is ok - though another source might have been closer as being US based. However I think that one is quite close to the original and technically better than the vacuformed part - crisp edges etc. Here is what I was about to post but wasn't sure of: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you buy these recently just for this upgrade? I don't want to be an asshole but there are really more accurate and easy to get alternatives available. These look a bit poor to me to be honest. I think the canister hose has to be grey for lancer but your's apear to be silver (at least on the picture). I hope you don't take it as insult. These are the alternatives (not too expensive and really the closest, the first actually close to 100%) MC (US) and underneath DJ (UK)
bluecyclone
As far as my "first" pieces go, tank top and t-bits, those were the ones that came with the SC armor, so no I didn't buy them recently. They were vacuformed and I agree that they did not look good, hence, that is why I bought the new tank topper and t-bits. I post pics of what I have, than Command says yes or no, if it's no than I change it, simple. I went with DJ pieces because the pieces are already made and he ships quickly, US supplier doesn't have it "on-hand", and would take 1-2 weeks. And my canister hose is gray, it just looks silver in the pic because of the flash. Don't worry dude, I don't think of you as an a**hole, your imput is welcome. TB-1019
You've shown incredible patience, Mike. Each time we wanted to see something changed, you just went and did it with no complaint. A true Lancer to the core.

Guest FOOL31C
I agree! I think it is great that you are the first one up for becoming a Lancer. You are paving the way for future lancers and are a great example of what everyone should do if they want to acquire the Lancer standard. Good luck! DarthVader1
Why the punishment of upgrading??? WHYYYYY !?!?!?!? I've just barely started to upgrade to a more accurate armor (think two years back), when I finally got my "accurate armor" few months back and close-to-accurate gloves (replicas offered here), and now I have to upgrade to more ACCURATE STUFF ??? WHAT THE @#$%^#??!! No, seriously. I just got my new set of KPS armor, and now this is telling me that some of the stuff I already have is not exactly ACCURATE??? Seems like this costume is getting just as the Boba Fett...never stopping on upgrades.
TB-1019
Please read the description of the Lancer standards again. This is an optional level of accuracy for those who want to reach for it. It is not a requirement by any means.
bluecyclone
New tank top received and installed: Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 I also bought another balaclava and pair of gloves. I like having two pairs of the soft goods stuff. Now I currently have 2 pairs of gloves, 2 balaclavas, 2 cummerbunds, and 2 black turtleneck shirts. I'm probably going to buy a completed KS helmet later this year just to have an extra helmet as back-up. Here's the pics of the UA balaclava (thanks to Jay) and the Espree style gloves (thanks to Chris): Pic 1 Pic
TB0438
First of all, I'd like to reiterate what others have said. "Great job Mike, keep up the good work". I really want to see you get this done and be our first Lancer. :-) Second, I like the fact that we have this option available now. Seriously it hasn't been that long ago that many folks on this board were trying to gather up as much info as possible about the original costume. It's satisfying that we have a much better understanding of the "accurate" costume used. There's still little details that need to be solved, but overall there's a whole lot of info on what a screen accurate costume should have. This is a great standard to achieve and it's a great goal for some of us to attain, as well as receive some moderate appreciation for the hard work. Keep up the great work guys, I really like where this is going.
