Nicely done, Mike! Thanks for going through the trouble of taking all the reference shots and uploading them. I'll get together with Chris and Marie and we'll let you know. :)

Wow, for the first request, the bar has been set very high! Excellent job there Mike! Even though I'm not one of the three that will be making the final decision, I think you have not only taken the idea of a lancer to heart, but have done an outstanding job with your gear. You are to be commended! I am more than impressed!

Mike,

I might be wrong but I think that one of the Lancer requirements is the correct t-bits. Since I also have SC armour I know that the ones supplied with it are not acccurate. However, I have found a guy who makes them and they are not expensive. Let me know if you want me to dig out his email address for you. He often sells them on the UK vesion of that well known auction site, just serach for biker scout parts and you will usually find them.

Cheers

I think they softened the requirement for T-bits a little. It's not specifically asked for the Vader TIE Part anymore. However as long as there are opportunities (MC/DJ-UK while I prefer MC for the finer details) they should be used. Though I wonder if they fit on every armor - I guess some bicepts aren't made to host the near original bit.

They definitely aren't, I had to heat up my bicep parts until they became soft then forced the vader t-bits into them.

For Lancer status, you MUST have the correct style t-bits.

Man this is great!! Not only do people get Lancer status thru this forum, it also acts as a great reference area to look at what we need to do with our armor! Very nice! Good luck blue cyclone. I pm'd ya a current link to get the T-bit too. Hope it helps ya out!

Will, can you PM that info to me as well? I'll be needing some new ones soon. You may also want to send Vixx that information, since she's the armorer and ought to have that info handy for people who ask.

Mike, they look just like mine. The bad news is that they will not fit as soon sa you get them. The good news is that all you need to do is take a heat gun to you bicep pieces until they soften up a bit then squash the t-bits in. You get a really nice fit and they look great. Just make sure you don't heat the biceps too much, I nearly destroyed one of mine!

Cheers

Another source is MC which are even closer to accurate imo. He and Mr.BJ are active her ein the forums. I already got a snout part from them and it's just fabolous.

Those bits you got there Mike are originally produced in the UK according to one of my older sketches so that might be good news for european area lancer aspirants.

  • 2 weeks later...

Maybe I should ask before I say something negative but I think it might be vital for future lancer aspirants - may I?
