Glued my tank on the backarmor with 2 component epoxy glue and it holds like a charm! Also used a rivet on the bottom of the tank to secure it.

I'm clearly too picky :) Being overtaken by other builds now. Momentum has slowed

Awaiting E6000 to do some snap-dome work, greeblies and attach L plate for tank top attachment before moving to the more detailed soft part mesaurements once chest armour is in place

Going with the T- velcro or other? I'm considering a Tstrap, but domed in rather than velcro so it sits on the webbing rather than the plastics

hahah no worries Craig! everyone is building his own way, own speed..:-)

yeah, it is gonna be a T-velcro and I am attaching the cloth so I have the shoulderwrap and the T-velcro in one piece ;-)

Just bought a contruction helmet and some snaps for my helmet.

The liner is going to be glued inside my Altmann and the snaps are for my

chinstrap

Same liner I ended up with. Mine the squares that secured it sits on the lip of the helmet top just right for stability

Your downwards may need tweaking. Take a look at it square on. Think it's meant to have a squared look from the back (above here)

Have to have someone whos not also mid-build check on it to confirm :)

Example CRL is a goodie.. flush on it appears square

The other trick I see is use laser level line. Or I tried this morning with a test, a slight slit in cardboard with a torch behind works too

I understand what you mean.. It sure looks different on the pic as in real life though.. Difficult to take a pic without showing the roundings of the tank.. It is misleading hahaa

Out of curiosity.. Used the Offset hole on tank topper, or re-drilled the 'middle' one thats been filled

CRL calls for 'in the middle' and if I was to do that (the filled one and ignore the drilled), its a lot more centred along the back of the tank too!

Posted

I had the pre-drilled hole centered on the tank topper, but I read some SC kits had the hole offset.. If you have this offset as well, close the hole and redrill it. CRL says centered! I glued the tank topper on the tank, drilled the hole further through the tank and riveted.. Then glued the tank on the backarmor with 2 component epoxy glue and riveted it at the bottom.. All set 😎

Yep it's not inline with the red line that's for sure. But was, once. Odd.

Filled the pouches up with soft isolation foam, works like a charm! 70408a51bb27f1d0430a5ea8bd331d2f.jpg
