Pale Rider
Hi all, I started work on my flak vest and got a little paranoid as the length of the sleeves on the flak vest all depend on shoulder bell placement. With that in mind I want to make sure my shoulder bells are placed properly before I cut the flak vest sleeves to the proper length. Is there a good rule for how far away from the chest-to-back shoulder bridge the shoulder bells should be? How much black should be showing? All of the screen shots from the movie I've been over look like it's about 1 - 1.5 inches. Does that seem about right? Hopefully this makes sense. Chunk
I would leave them long, unless they are way too long coming down to your elbows. My sleeves are about 1" longer than my shoulder bell. But I fold them up & they are fine. The elastic holds in place & I've never had an issue. If you can post some picvs to help us better guage your issue. Dart
I wouldn't worry too much, Jamie. That said, longer is better in case they need to be altered. Ideally, the top of the shoulder armour should be about where you've mentioned it.
Pale Rider
Thanks for the responses guys! Just want to make sure I have my shoulders in the right spot before I trim my flak vest sleeves. Much appreciated! Jamie
