Does a seamstress proud. You look great.:D

Hey Mike,

Give us a couple. I forgot that TB-1019 has a few modification to make to the requirements. Nothing major though. He gave them to me and I deleted them.....doh. He is redoing those for us now.

Would there be any consideration to the inner vest for Lancer standards for Troopers in really hot areas like here in Singapore? The reason for me asking this is while I would dearly like to go for the standard, I would probably die of heat stroke with another vest on top of everything else. And even if I were to do the vest, I would never wear it when trooping unless it were in an air-conditioned environment.

Hi, Paul. You could simply have the vest for the purpose of attaining Lancer standards, but not wear it at events, as the basic standard doesn't require the vest at all. The scouts in the film had vests and, since the goal of the Lancers is to depict movie accurate costumes, we cannot omit details for one and not the others.

Hi Jay,

I was just trying my luck. :D

Let me know about the helmet tutorial.

I don't know if it helps, but here in Washington, D.C., the summers are brutally hot and humid. Maybe not quite the same as those in Singapore, naturally, as you are closer to the equator, but not vest friendly either. I won't be wearing mine in the warmer months.

I wish I had one for this weekend's trooping event-- we're going to be outside by the water of the Chesapeake Bay and the high temperature will be in the low 40's (Farenheit), not counting wind chill. We're getting there in the morning so it'll still be cold, probably in the low 30's.

Just a query, any reason why cant have a cummerband without stitching? there was only one scout with stitching, the stunts did not

*Edit* Don't shoot me if i'm wrong, I can dig out the ref pics if you want.

We can't have two different sets of requirements for the cummerbund, one with and one without the stitching, so we went with the "hero" costume that has the stitching. It is the same design that is reproduced on other licensed scout items, such as the Gentle Giant bust in your signature. ;)

Fair comment, but the gentle giant bust wasnt in the film! I have heavily modified DP helmets to a standard that challenges most (not all) custom lids out there, I'm all for raising the bar, but specifying no DP lids, and "only hero look" is a bit "specific imo.

Looks closley in the galley MotM images. You can see the 7 stripes in the cummer...

The Motm exibit was made with a lot of broken "bits" in a box given to an art student! please dont say your taking the standards off that!

Yes, there was a scout with ribs on his nappy, but there were also more without (six ribs, 7 stitches)

Just wondering if the TK's in the leigon would all have to buy SDS to be "elite", or would one of LFL's display peices be the standard... a rubies stormtrooper...

Excuse me but I like to see your proof for no ribbing.

What speaks for the ribbing is not only the MOM scout but also the original suit worn by Brinn71 and screenshot evidence.

also I am not convinced that the said art student made changes crucial to the costume rather than patching. The only attributes really striking with the MoM exhibit are the missing details -> T-bits and detonator details.

Other than that I don't see things abnormal compared to the screenshots.

You have to consider that the film material is high in contrast and that way a few details get blurred away but you see hints everywhere that the stitching is present.

Ok troopers,

Let's start a new thread about this. This was a request thread. I am going to lock and ask Pean to open another thread with the right images.
