Hey guys and gals.

Just got my helmet the other day from Steve and it's just awesome.

Can't wait to start trooping but for now i'm in need of assistance.

There is a very tiny hairline crack in the top visor portion of the helmet. Per Steve's recommendation I am going to glue a piece of styrene plastic underneath to make sure it doesn't get any worse.

My question is what type of glue to use to bond the plastic to plastic? I bought some e6000 but I read this may not be suitable for this type of repair. I thought ABS cement, but read stories about it melting plastic so i'm just a little worried and was looking for a recommendation. Part of the problem may be that I have been reading so much that I have information overload.

No risk of this melting anything right? Especialy because the area is so thin.

Is there a USA counterpart? I can't seem to find it locally.

It will show through if you go too heavy with it, I found this out when building my TK whoops

You can always use the poor-man's fibreglass - get some crazy glue and some thin cotton strips, spread some glue over the crack, press the cotton on and then add more crazy glue right into the fabric, pushing it in with the tip.

That should hold it. ;)
