hyraxe Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I note that the Lancer CRL states that for the undersuit: -Real black suede square/ rectangular butt patch attached to flight suit at the rear under where cummerbund will sit and resemble those seen on screen, size will adjust slightly from scout to scout, but correct scale must be noted, no external visable stitching. Just wanted to clarify what the 'no external visable [visible] stitching' refers to - the hems, the part where the patch is attached to the undersuit, or...? Thanks!
Chunk Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 On suede you don't need to heam anything, there is nothing to unravel. They are refering to the sides & bottom if you are using micro fiber (faux suede) you will have to heam the edges. But this is for "Basic" clearance, not Lancer.
hyraxe Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 Thanks. It's in the Lancer CRL (http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12081) but not basic (http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9898) so I assumed it was referring to real suede. I have been seeing hemmed mudflaps in various successful Lancer application photos though, which is what got me confused.
Chunk Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I've made close to 100 scout riding suits, several of them Lancer & never once had to hem anything. 1
