Tank Decal Placement

Hey everyone!

I just got my SC armor kit in the mail and started working on it last night. This is my first scout build. I put the pinstripe decals on the tank that came with the kit. Does horizontal line seem too long? I measured the sticker decal before I placed it on the tank and it was 7 7/8" inches long. Is the horizontal line too high up on the tank?

Also are the rank stripes too high on the tank?

Does the placement look okay for 501st approval?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

After looking around at other photos and chatting with my TB buddy; I think I need to lower the horizontal stripe and bring the verticals in just a tad as well. I will post another photo after I've made the change.

Still curious on what you all think of the placement of the rank stripes...

I think the horizontal should be a bit lower and a little less longer. It's the verticals that need the most work. The upper portion is straight, but the lower portion is not. They go too far inwards. You need to imagine that as one continuous straight line over a multi curved item. There was a member (sorry, can't remember who) who actually used a laser line to guide his line placement. That's the way you need to imagine yours.

Looks much better. On the SC tank, you can see a very faint impression that can serve as a guide for those stripes, and it looks like you hit it. But yes, looking good!

This is also helping me out with my tank pin stripe placement right now. Did you guys have to trim the largest pin stripe (the one that goes horizontal connecting the other two stripes) so that it wasn't too wide? Mine looks too long on both sides even when I have it centered.
