Flykiller Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Hi ! I have two questions about this helmet. First : I feel like these three items are the only ones that come with the helmet when you buy it, Am I right or did I loose something ? If yes, that mean I should buy stickers (from Trooperbay) and pieces that hide screws ? Second, what piece should I use between the white and the gray one ? thank you in advance for your help !
Stroker Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 You have two screw covers taped to the mic tip there "kinda hidden" That's what you use to cover the bolts, unless you wanna go with the 3m's. Yes trooperbay is the go to for the decals. 2
Flykiller Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Thank you very much. I'm going to look after it because I don't remember seing it in any place in the Brown box.. :-/ What about the second question, anyone ?
Stroker Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Thank you very much. I'm going to look after it because I don't remember seing it in any place in the Brown box.. :-/ What about the second question, anyone ? Is the white one a MLC piece also? If so when they start casting the riser and snout in one piece? I would go with the white one. If not you'll have to make a riser plate for the gray one.
Flykiller Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Thanks again ! Yes they both came with MLC helmet. I guess one may be the old version and the other the latest version of the helmet. So, I guess one should be more accurate. If you want I can get a better picture of the two items. We can't really see the details.
Flykiller Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Excuse me... With the cover, I really feel like I'm dumb or blind... Could you tell me exactly to what the screw covers should have been taped ? Everything in the brown box have been looked at... I'm pretty sure there wasn't anything like this with my helmet.
spookymufu Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 look at the gray (half) snout piece, there are two discs taped to the mic tip part, those are your bolt covers 1
Flykiller Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 Ok ! Thank you very much spookymufu. Now I know I'm really stupid... The two Bolt covers were there. The fact is they have been paint and glued on the snout piece ; to get them I had to damaged them because of all the paint that made "one only piece" of them.
spookymufu Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 you really dont want to use those bolt covers or that snout piece tho, get a DVH snout and get 3M speedglass bolts from the trade area here, thats the best way to go. I have a WIP thread here for my MLC if your interested http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=11862&hl=&fromsearch=1
Darth Voorhees Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 The white snout piece/and riser plate looks good you can use that one..though i wouldnt object to you ordering one of mine that is already cast in black and grey so you dont have to paint it But really the one you have there is fine, toss the grey one, use the other one . Like Spookymufu said, you can get the real 3M bolts in the trade section here.
Flykiller Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Thank you for your answers and help for these questions.
spookymufu Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 that white snout piece must be something new MLC is providing, mine didnt come with that, mine came with the short gray one with no riser plate
Flykiller Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 that white snout piece must be something new MLC is providing, mine didnt come with that, mine came with the short gray one with no riser plate Probably. All I know is that I got the gray and the white snout. As far as I can compare the two pieces, they seem to be the same. The only differences are color and length.
