Nuhaatyc
Hi everyone, I just received my KT kit and started working. When I started cutting out the lense I noticed 2 small "bumps" right above the nose area of the helmet at the bottom of the lense. Are those bumps supposed to be there when the helmet is finished? or are they supposed to be removed? I couldn't see them on any of the reference pictures or on the CRL picture but I noticed that some people still kept them in their product. Rwg86
Agreed. I've spend quite some time sanding out the area around the bumps and I'm still not entirely satisfied. ferra did a very nice job on his.
Nuhaatyc
Ill be sure to sand carefully! Thanks for the help!
Rwg86
Ill be sure to sand carefully! Thanks for the help! Also, make sure your lighting is sufficient. Depending on the casting, it can be difficult to see the "border" between the excess molding and the nose "bumps." I almost sanded too far before I stopped myself, adjusted my floodlamp then realized I was where I needed to be.
Grumpy
It's okay to leave the bumps on the helmet. That's just how it was originally designed by PGHFett.
