obiwan-kukumber Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Is it advisable to wear under armour underneath the flight suit Quote
01Hawk Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I always figured I would wear basketball shorts and a t shirt but honestly I just wear boxer briefs and a wife beater t shirt 1 Quote
Guest Forrest Patrol Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Do you mean wicking underlayers to reduce sweat? Quote
bugdozer Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I just wear underwear. Anything else has been too hot on summer troops. I have yet to troop in cold weather though so I may need more then. 1 Quote
khazara Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I wear shorts and a t shirt. I found wicking material actually transfers more sweat into the suit/bund/flakvest so I switched to cotton. This allows me to get more troops out of the gear without having to wash it after each troop. I definitely febreze and air it out every time though. Quote
zarintyr Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 for some reason..i thought it was gonna read (lingerie under the suit) 1 Quote
Guest Forrest Patrol Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 What's wrong with wearing lingerie? Quote
Griffin-X Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 What's wrong with wearing lingerie? Hey...if it works for you, go for it! I prefer shorts and a t-shirt, but go with under armor in the Winter. Quote
Guest Forrest Patrol Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Hey...if it works for you, go for it! Actually I prefer a slave girl bikini 3 Quote
Scavenger Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 you people and your clothes....COMMANDO....because changing in the parking lot has never tested your stealth abilities more! 3 Quote
Chunk Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Basketball shorts & tshirt. I always take a back up tshirt, to put on after the troop, because the original one I wear gets soaked with sweat. Quote
Retrofire Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Leave it to Pathfinders to make this thread take a hard turn into cuckoo land Might as well through in my two cents...I wear Umbro soccer shorts and a cotton T-shirt 1 Quote
Dart Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Just my underoos. I used to wear a wicking shirt but I found that it would get too hot, or it would bunch up weirdly. Quote
Bubonos Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I wear swim trunks and a tee shirt. Most of the time I show up to an event either in shorts and a tee or in my flight suit in case of parking lot suit ups Quote
Chef Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Nothing but your skiddies and a smile dude! When you're in your Scout you're going to be HOT... and not just for the ladies. So best be prepared. Anyway... When you're a UKG Scout, it's best to wear very little on your induction anyway. Bring your own lube! 2 Quote

BlitzJaeger Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I wear a fitted two piece outfit like underarmor, I find I actually stay cooler in that than anything else. I ddont get overly hot or sweat as much, but I may try some of the suggestions in here for comparisons sake... Quote
NegativeEleven Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Cyclegear.com sells "heat out" which is like under-armor, but actually pulls heat away from you. I use that or Nike pro combat dri-fit shirt. Under armor feels like a wet bathing suit to me. The Nike stuff actually seems to block sweat. It's probably not healthy, but I don't have a soggy flight suit after. Quote
Roust Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 These are great ideas. I've been wearing an under armor shirt and jogging shorts, but need to find something better. Sent from my communicator using Tapatalk Quote
TX71117 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 All good info was looking for this today. I was wondering as well what might help wick heat out.. and stay more comfortable. Quote
Bubonos Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Friday was so hot in Louisiana I went commando Quote
Retrofire Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Friday was so hot in Louisiana I went commando Nothing beats going commando. I'm moving to another detachment...... Check please! 1 Quote
Bubonos Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I'm moving to another detachment...... Check please! Lmao 😂 awwwwwww. Seriously, we were under heat advisory that whole week, not to mention pretty much every day since. Gotta do what you gotta do, no sense in getting heat stroke if you can loose a layer or two. I still was miserable, but not as much as the rest of the troopers. Quote

When I first did the Scout I thought "this doesn't have as much armor as a TK and it'll be cooler especially here in the desert.." Wow was I wrong. Flight suit, then vest, then bund, then armor...yeah it's not that much cooler. I can't even imagine what a Vader goes through. Quote
