Flykiller
Hi there ! I would like to know if the dark green lenses (sold by TB) http://trooperbay.com/bikerscout-dark-green-lens-material.html are fine if I want to be validated Lancer, or at least 501st Member ? Thank you
theisaac
Trooperbay's lens material is basic welders mask material. I've used it on plenty of TK helmets and it's good. Mike from Trooperbay is cool about returns too.
Flykiller
I've used it on plenty of TK helmets and it's good. Thanks for your answer. I have been told only black lenses would be admited for pathfinder or lancer. You have used it only on TK armors or scout too ?
Griffin-X
It's a welders shield #5, which is what you want/need. I'm not sure who you're talking to but they are not correct. TB is good to go.
Nexous
Question to add to this, is the lens from the SC helmet different than this? I might invest the $10+ shipped for the Trooperbay one if these are a little darker

spookymufu
I put two oven safe bowls on a cookie sheet and bridged the TB lens between them and turned the oven on 300 degrees and waited until the lens drooped, then I took it out, put it in the helmet and pushed it into shape until it cooled
Flykiller
Thank you for your help. I was hesitating with heating it. Once it will have the good shape, how did you attach it inside ? with glue ?
spookymufu
hot glue

Dart
so the scout lense is green? my info is a dark"grey/blue" They are green. That's sure. I don't know how to bend and attach them. That's sure too ! Actually, the lenses should be a "darker material". Green isn't the colour you should be going for. Ideally, either a shade 3 or shade 5 smoke lens is what you want.
