NinjaScout Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Hi all. I picked up a RedKap suit so I could try sizes. The shoulders, chest and torso seem ok but the legs are about 3 times wider than necessary. Is this common? How much do you usually need to take in on the legs?
Chunk Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Take them in apx 1 1/2"- 2" Should be fine. These are work coveralls made to go over your everyday clothes. Some people (my wife) have to take in the arms too. 1
theisaac Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I turned mine inside out and kneeled down like I was taking a picture kneeling next to a kid. pinned the extra fabric down the thigh and calf. Do the same on both sides. Did the same thing on the arms with my arms bent and flexing... pinned the extra fabric. Run a seam along the pins and BOOM... custom fit coveralls. I don't know much about sewing and I was able to do the whole thing in about an hour. 3
