obiwan-kukumber
After discussion with chef and marcel I've decided to go with SC armour. But before I do, what are all your opinions, has anyone previously had any problems with them?
bwattsup
You won't have problems with SC. Jeff's customer service is fantastic.
stasz
Great communication, quick turn around, fair price, great gear. I sent Jeff a picture of me in my armor after I was approved and I think he was as excited as I was I didn't have any issues, but on the rare occasions when folks had something missing or damaged I know he made it right.

Nikko
I am also very glad that I went with Jeff's kit. Everything about it has been good. He gives you decals, pin striping, elastic, velcro, cotton webbing, thermal det parts, AND the armor. He sets you up so you barely even have to go to a ctafts store. Guest Forrest Patrol
Wish I had gone with SC now, I've heard nothing but praise for Jeff/SC and the armour kit he makes.
Nexous
Yup, same boat as everyone else. Jeff is an absolute pleasure to work with... the armor is already trimmed so all you really gotta do is fit it and fine-tune it to your body type. I messed up with some decals and asked to buy them separately... he sent me them no charge within the week. Again, great guy to be dealing with. Sapper41
I am finishing my SC armor build as we speak and the armor is great and not too hard to put together. It literally came with everything you need.
Yorkie Fett
I'll just chime in here and say what a great experience it was, buying from Jeff. Great communication, fast shipping with full tracking and very reasonable shipping costs to the UK. Other makers/suppliers please take note how to run a business. theisaac
I personally found the instructions on the SC kit hard to follow. That being said - I leaned REALLY heavily on the ladies and gentlemen here for help (and Panda's build thread). It was a fun build. Pieces come ready to go out of the box. I loved the quality of the kit. Building it was easy. I was able to make it fit my XXL chest and back. I'd definately suggest an SC kit to anyone who asks. SC with an Altmann helmet is a great combo for the big fellas in the ranks.

I incorporated many of his suggestions like how to fit the tank, the strapping on the belt, and elastic on the inside of the boot holster. Spycee
It's a great armor, you can't go wrong with it.
StudioCreations
Sometimes SC can get behind and not ship your kit for a couple weeks. if you have a deadline coming up and absolutely need that kit shipped in the time frame quoted, then email SC and let us know. We do get distracted from time-to-time , but alerting us to your deadline helps us prioritize. I will admit that our printed instructions are a bit simple. I need to address that in the coming year. All hail PAndatrooper for his contribution to the community with that thread he posted. Pandatroopers Build Thread can be used for any scout kit, not just an SC kit. Tons of good assembly information there.

Retrofire
How long is the wait for SC armor? That's my #1 choice for my bucket and armor but I won't be able to order until Oct/Nov time frame.
kayelbe
Unless something has changed since last month, you will get it within a week of payment. I ordered on a Friday (7/24) and the box was on my doorstep the following Friday. So far, the fastest part of my build. Even the Redkaps off Amazon took 10 days to arrive. Retrofire
Thanks Kevin! That's great to hear. While I'm enjoying building my boots and gathering the soft armor and associated accouterments I'm really looking forward to the armor build. indylead
No problems with the speed of Jeff replying to questions, that's for sure! Will comment on the armour once it arrives
