Sapper41 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ON the SC helmet is the visor glued to the face piece or are they just held together with the bolts?
rasman06 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Use some E6000 on the 4 extra small pieces of ABS Jeff put in the kit - - fit it first and make your marks - I have a pdf I can send you if you PM me an email address Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Just found it.
Nexous Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 You can glue the lens in if you so choose to in addition... I did a little bit just to sort of seal it in better around the edges.
bwattsup Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I think Christopher might be talking about the sun visor guys. If that's the case, it only connects with the mount bolts . The SC faceplate is deep enough to put the mount bolts through both the faceplate and visor. You could also glue the visor and faceplate together if you desire Christopher. Theres plenty of room to do that.
01Hawk Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 If you mean the black lense to the placebo u look out of - I just velcrod mine in. It seems to leave a little gap here and there ( very small ) that helps keep it from fogging. If you mean the white part that lookalike the bill of a baseball hat to the white face part - I glued mine at the top and at the sides. The sides had too much of a gap that light shined through for my tastes
Nexous Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Good catch bwattsup ... yes in that case, the Visor is glued onto the Faceplate and then BOLTS into the Top/Back of the helmet. The nuts holding the bolts should be fairly tight, this will keep the Visor up when you lift it. 1
rasman06 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 My bad folks!! Not enough sleep last night. Yep - put just a touch of E6000 between the visor and faceplate to hold it when opened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
