Grim Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I use suspenders to keep the cummberbund up but that would mean they would be visible if the vest wasn't covering them. HOWEVER, the vest sticks out from under the armor, over the cummberbund. If i someone manage to tuck in the vest a bit after a minute or so the black will still show or the armor will ride up. Any tips?
Griffin-X Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 The vest should be under the cummerbund. Ditch the suspenders, and add Velcro to your vest with corresponding Velcro on your cummerbund. Put the vest on and then the cummerbund, over the vest and secured with Velcro. Then, add your chest/back armor on top of those layers. Unless your bund is way too short, that should line you up. 3
01Hawk Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I put snaps on my flightsuit since at the time I wasn't wearing my vest and will put the snaps on the vest as well. I just went with snaps vs Velcro since my sewing skills aren't the best. My bund didn't budge after several hours of walking and squatting and stuff
BikerScoutDawn Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Griffin- your reply makes me even more mad at the lady that made my vest and cumberbund I will say this again guys DO NOT buy from the lady advertised on the sc site. I wish my vest was long enough to go under my cumberbun...I had to have it altered and it does with adjustments. I am ordering all new soft parts

I don't think I have ever seen anyone recommend that maker. Thanks for letting the community know about your issues.
Chunk Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I added 2 stips(apx 6"ea) of Hook velcro from the top of the bund sticking straight up. Then I placed the loop velcro on the inside of my chest armor. Pretty much the same concept with the snaps, but with velcro instead. 2
stasz Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Chef is the man My vest is just the right height to stay inside the chest/back armor. It's pretty short really, like a crop top. My pouches are attached to the bund with snaps. The pouches (and bund - from Marcel) have a flap that extends from the top of the pouch with loop Velcro that I connect to the inside of my chest armor to snug it up and keep it in place. Works for me! But it's always interesting to hear how different troopers rig up their stuff.
