Landeaux Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 This happened to me the other day at work. So right before I was to leave for the day, security came knocking at my office saying I need to go to my car. Not sure of what's going on I walk out with security. Now I work for a Native American casino, as I head to the parking lot escorted by security, I see Tribal police, two mobile security units at my car. Come to find out someone saw my sniper rifle on the floorboard and reported it. After I explained what it was to Tribal Police, everybody but the two who reported it had good laugh. They still pick at me about it. I do understand though why the police wanted to check it out. 6
Chunk Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I work in a maximum security prison. No type of toy guns are allowed. I was trooping that past weekend & planed on carrying my Hyperfirm DLT-19 but decided not to. So I placed it on the backseat floorboard. Must have got home late & didn't see it when I was unloading my tub. I went to work the next day. As I open the back door to get my lunch box out I say holly #*&^! my coworker was right next to me & said WHAT? I showed her & she nearly droped her bags & said you gotta get that outta here thinking it was real. told her it was rubber(she knows I troop) I covered it with my rain coat & placed it back on the floorboard & told her not to tell anyone. Luckily it was 5:30am when I found it, so it was still dark & I could hide it without being seen.
Chef Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Always put them in a bag or case... Replica Firearms should be treated as if they are real firearms when in the public domain. 2
yodaid764 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Good one Paul. I have concerns about going thru the security check points here at FT Polk once I get my costume finished. Then again, I have only had my vehicle searched twice in my 10 years in the Army.
