TriumphTrooper8
Well I had previously introduced myself back in April. Between then and now I have finished my TS and was approved. Done 10 troops in my ANH TK. I also had bought a TB complete set of armor in April that needed a good bit of work replacing webbing and the jump suit, cummerbund and boots that were too small. I ordered a tailored jump suit, vest, cummerbund and pouches. It was to be 5 weeks at least to show up. I got a chance to buy the new TFA TK and had to dig up some funds. The TB went to a fellow 501st trooper as a result. What got me mad at myself was the soft parts I ordered and forgot about finally arrived and fit perfectly! It was 5 weeks and 2 days. Now I had them and no armor! The TFA is a month off maybe if I am lucky, so I said the heck with it and bought boots to cover, SC full kit (due on the 27th!), gloves and a rubber pistol. Progress so far..............
Guest Forrest Patrol
I have braces on my cummerbund for extra support.
Chex
You didn't just jump in, you plunged in lol. Glad to see you come back to finishing the scout. Much easier then the TFA lol. Helped my best friend build his, and that suit is a chore. Sounds like you have everything you need for your scout. Should be a quick build once you get your armor.
TriumphTrooper8
Is it possible to attach the belt to the cummerbund and then the cummerbund to the flight suit by snaps?
stasz
I'm a big fan of snaps. I use them on my knees, forearms and biceps to keep them in place, as well as attaching my pouches to my bund. I don't see why you couldn't use snaps to have the bund actually attached to the flight suit, but I don't know if you'd want the belt permanently attached to the bund. If only for storage I could see that being a problem.
TriumphTrooper8
My GML for the garrison mentioned Velcro to keep things in place. There is more leeway with that method. I finished sewing the boot Velcro on and the dog bone stitching. I even added some a pull on the top of the boots for the enclosure. I just have to glue the parts on the boots and maybe later trim the sides of he soles. Box of armor due today! Does any one make a boot holster for a left boot? Box of fun stuff arrived and unpacked! Time to get things going!
TriumphTrooper8
Back, chest, shoulders, biceps, forearms, knees, boots, and belt are done. The helmet needs the chin strap and some padding and it will be done! Besides that all that is left is to sew Velcro strips on the flack vest and some straps for the chest to cummerbund to keep things in place. Put it all on and submit! TK-Fett
Looks good but would look better with a little dirt and weathering.
TriumphTrooper8
The boots are in "As worn" condition along with the dirt and grass stains now from a few troops! Its a wear and toss on the storage box set of armor! I love it!
