Oberkisstillalive Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 It has been a number of weeks since I have received my Red Kap jump suit and I can put it on with only a little resistance. It is the right length in the arms and legs but when I bend over it gets really tight in the back and it is really tight in the crotch. It seems like if it was only an inch taller I wouldn't have this problem. Is there any way I can fix this or should I just return it and buy a bigger size?
BikerScout007 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Yeah the Red Kaps seem to be short in the torso or something. You could go up a size but then you'd probably have to do some more tapering on the sleeves and legs to keep it from being too baggy. Or you could slit the crotch open and stitch some spandex in there to stretch it out better.
Oberkisstillalive Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 ok thanks man. I will try the spandex and see how it works. I should probably put the suede in the thighs before I do that though.
Chef Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Well, if you can return it for the correct size, that's always the first way to go. But if you can't... You can unpick the seams that are around the waist band and insert an elliptical shaped panel of stretch fabric such as lycra across the back/kidney area. This will allow the suit to 'stretch' when you bend down.
01Hawk Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I bought one as a spare and it was tight as well- I didn't get the " long" version they offer which I guess I should have
