Pandatrooper Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Yup, you're over thinking it. just cut the straps so that the hip armor rests on the side of your hips. Many people have them hanging on the side of their thighs and that's too low. The straps can also be fed through the buckles, they don't need to function. I want to get this done but with my aunt being placed on hospice and money getting tight all I hear in my head is "do it right so you don't mess up and have to buy new parts" so I then freeze and stop working which doesn't help either, I DO APPRECIATE every one of your replies- thank you ! stasz Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 The belt confounded me as well. It was actually the last piece I worked on because I was nervous about it. Just take your time, and definitely reference Panda's thread. I have my thigh boxes attached to the straps with snaps and snap plates. Definitely over-engineered it. The straps can pass right through the boxes. Quote

bugdozer Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 One thing I've noticed but never see mentioned: the middle of the belt boxes appears to be the same height as half way up the curved stitching on the codpiece. I think I've got mine the right height, but they are secured with velcro for instant adjustability! Quote
