hello everyone!,

me and my best friend are both members of the 501st legion, and we would love to upgrade our costume and skills!!

that's why we choose to upgrade our Bikerscout costumes, and at the same time our skills :)

things we still need to do:

HELMET:

1. need to repaint to off white color

2. need new helmet decals, like the ''squared emblem'', snout sticker under the visor, and the decals/stickers on the back of the helmet!! (??????? anybody know where we can buy these?????)

3. visor flat disc bolt covers need to be ordered

4. complete replacement of 1 snout detail mounted onto a plate and painted medium grey, of my friends helmet (???where can we buy these???)

5. put out the mesh in the bikerscout ''ears'', and black material/paint need to be added inside to create depth

ARMOR:

1. Shoulder bridge Straps attaching front and back armor should white cotton webbing. Nylon webbing is not acceptable-

Side under arm chest/back straps should around 45mm (1 3/4") white webbing ( off white if using off white pouches/drop boxe straps), but for trooping practicality, place elastic on the ends hidden by the armour.

2. add more rankstripes to the bullet tank

3. making the bicep armor black elastic straps a little thinner (35mm)

4. make the forearm black elastic straps thinner (25mm)

5. replace the belt straps used for the drop boxes with 40mm white cotton webbing

6. need to order new TD clips to hold it to the belt

7.knee armor to have 2 elastic straps, one passing through the knee armor (25mm) wide on the bottom, and one (12mm) fixed to the top side of the knee armor with one white painted rivet each side

8. shoulder armor should be secured around bicep with 35mm black elastic

9. need to order 1 new set of Bikerscout pouches

10. need to repaint everything to a off white color

UNDERSUIT:

1. need to remove all the zippers and pockets except for primary zipper (a few days ago I bought a new undersuit.. so I can begin with a fresh start again :) )

2. put on the new riding patches we made on both our undersuits

3. 2 thigh straps made from 50mm black elastic that are affixed underneath your riding patch

4. suit must not be to baggy or to loose

5. new real black suede square/rectangular butt patch

and we both need a new blaster!!

if anybody has some advice or tricks for us that could help us with this, feel free to post a comment below :D

thank you so very much!!

The decals you can find at trooperbay.com.

Snout, I think Darth Voorhees here on BSN sells them.

Why repaint helmet to off white?? It's white. Off white is more grayish or eggshell coloured.

The rest you fix in no time ;-)

thanks!!

and what kind of color white can I use to repaint the helmet and my armor??

I am doing this because I have battle damage on my armor and helmet, and I want to take it off!!!

what kind of color white is recommended?? :)

Is it already painted? I ask because if you repaint, and the paints aren't the same brand/type, you can get some really nasty bubbling

Posted

no it's not painted yet ;)

what brand/type of paint do you all recommand to me??

because I want to paint it soon, and I really don't have a clue what kind of brand/type would be the best...

and thank you very much SouthScout!!!

we ordered the helmet decals from trooperbay today :D

Well you'll need a plastic oriented one, and primer. As for exact brands, I couldn't say.. My TB is still a shiny new one, so I just stuck with the base ABS. I know on my EVA foam ODST, I used Rustoleum 2X, but that was foam... So not really the same

the painting is going very well!!, even better than we expected!!

my buddy his armor is a way much better color white than before! :)
