Rayn
I purchased this helmet quite cheap a while ago. It is a DP helmet. As you can see from the pictures, a lot of weathering/battle damage was done to the helemt by the previous owner. Do you think they went overboard on the weathering? Also, it does have a small chip in the top left part of the visor. Is there a way to patch the small chip?
Quinxx44
Personally I'd say yeah. Too much weathering. As for the chip, you could cut a piece of scrap abs and glue it behind that edge, and fill it in the rest of the way with bondo or abs paste, then sand it down flush and re paint
SkaT73
Personally? No, I love weathering, and this looks good to me. For the 501st? I think it might be too much. The standards say light weathering I believe. But I have heard others mention it might be up to your Garrison. Not sure, but I would also like to find out how much is too much. Smiling Fox
That is way too much weathering. Light weathering is acceptable but it should still be white not tan. You have some work ahead it you want to get it approved. If you are just wanting it to display then it's just up to you, if you like it, great. As far as the chip, it can be repaired. A patch piece of abs and some bondo should do it. If you are going for approval then sand it all down, repair it and paint it all. You can get a nice snout piece from MonCal and decals from TrooperBay.
Nexous
The weathering does seem a bit much
Dart
It's the missing chip on the visor that pushes me over the edge. The weathering looks realistic, but it's a bit too much. If you're gonna weather a suit, use the movies as a guide. Even on Endor, the suits still looked white even with all that dirt on them. Carpeteria
Looks like an 80's Kenner figure that has been abandoned in a backyard for a few years. Definitely too much.
