Guest klw5995
Hello everyone! I have finally decided to make a Scout! I couldn't be more excited. However I am a little nervous as I am only 5 ft tall. Any tips on which vendor to go with? I am talking with sc now but he doesn't think the rib cage will fit. A I know I will have to trim the kit. Does one vendor work better for shorter people? Chef
MonCal is the smallest, but expect to wait.... AGES.... and AGES.... to get a kit. And we're talking about 12 months at current rates. There aren't many others your side of the pond that are considerably smaller. The UK MicroScouts seem to have faired well, but their kit doesn't do you any favours, because of getting it back over to the states. The SC kit can be trimmed down, but it's some work. Oberkisstillalive
I can attest to what Rob is saying about Mon Cal as I am still waiting for my kit that I ordered in July of 2014 and I am number 23 on their list and they make about 4 kits a month. However, I know a guy on here that ordered a kit from studio Creations and swapped out the chest piece with a Mon Cal chest piece. The cool thing about Mon Cal is you can order individual parts from them and it does not take very long for them to ship those out.
BikerScoutDawn
Ask Jeff at SC the nin requirements for your chest. He had me stand against a wall and place two books at my rib cage. I also am short, but not skinny which was his fear
