bugdozer
Just wanted to check, because I see a lot of variation (even in the movie) - what's the "official" position up the forearm for the armour pieces? I've seen some wearing it down overlapping the gloves, others tucked up almost on the elbow. Mine tend to wobble about a bit because I have spindly arms, so I was thinking of adding some velcro inside the front end to hold them steady, but that then means they have to remain in one position on the arm. khazara
One of the best tips I have taken: add Velcro to the suit and to the underside of the armor. No more shifting! Imagine a crease running down the outside of your sleeve, like a collared shirt. All the armor should be centered on that crease line. The lower piece of armor can overlap the glove a bit if necessary and should not be tucked into the glove. stasz
I used snaps instead of Velcro on my knees, forearms, and biceps. Very happy with the result. And for the love of the Emperor, keep the forearms out of the gloves! I have the top of my forearm armour about 1 inch from my elbow. There's space between the bicep and forearm, but not huge. I have long arms so I tried to get it to look right on me. That's the key. Suit up. Flex. Pose. Blast something. Watch how it looks and moves and you'll find the sweet spots.
Chef
The upper edge of the forearm should be right on the elbow. Depending on how long your arms are, it should practically touch the bicep armour when your arm is straight. If you've longer arms, there will be a gap. It will then rest where ever it sits in relation to your gloves. All good advice regarding the velcro or snaps.
