netslave
How do you attach your pouches to the cummerbund? I'd like to keep mine removable to wash and stuff. And I'd like to lee them usable, for stuff. I'm afraid Velcro won't be good enough. So, snaps? Buttons? Hooks?
spike
sow a 2inch strip at the top of the pouch, from one side to the other, this will sit up under the armour, it wont be seen there, sow 2 inch velcro, white, to this and the cumberbun, this will allow you to remove for washing
Ammonites
I use Velcro and it works fine. I just have them attached to the chest piece.
netslave
I took spike's advice. Just need to get it on the cummerbund and see how it works. At least I have options if it doesn't work as well as I hope.
spike
might actually work better if the velcro is on the underside of the armour as Ammonites suggested, pouchs would always be in the right position then?, either way its good
Chef
Having them attached to the bund is more screen accurate, but they tend to 'droop' and pull the cummerbund down causing untold aggravation. Velcro'ing them to the inside of the chest plate works a treat as they have the same 'look' as being attached to the bund, but they don't drag the bund down. I've got them done both ways on my Scout and Storm Commando, and I find attached to the inside of the armour to be less hassle when trooping.

spike
I'll get the hang of these quotes..........Scouts Honour!
stasz
I used 2 snaps on each pouch, one top and one bottom corner. I can pop them off if I need to, and they still have some sway without looking droopy. I still use Velcro under the chest plate to keep them snug.
Nexous
This is something I'm struggling with too I have been trying to figure a way to have them attach to the Bund w/o OR minimal drooping, but no real success... I've heard attaching them to chest was an idea as well, but as mentioned less "screen accurate"... never-ending struggle
M.J
Mine are attached Velco to the bun..but I also have black straps that go over my shoulders (hidden) to help with the extra weight so the bun doesn't sag down
Quinxx44
Personally, I attach the straps to my Bund and wear black suspenders that go under my flak vest so they are totally hidden. No droop!
