Not Another Size Thread

Hey guys,

So I currently have a SC lid and it just barely accomodates my melon. It works, but barely. I have been thinking about grabbing a bit of a bigger one, or a fiberglass one. My question is, is a MLC any bigger?

 

I've seen some posts saying that MLC is larger, and others saying they're tiny.. HALP!

If you need a bigger one, the MLC will be about the same size. Bigger means going to a KS or LW (if you can get one).

Has KS improved their pulls? I remember they used to be a bit shoddy

Should note, Im looking for a taller one. It's a chin issue I have with the SC

I had an MLC3, a KS, and currently have an LW. I've also built a SC for someone.

 

The MLC is bigger. Not by a whole lot, but it is bigger, its about the size of a KS. the SC is very small.

 

The MLC is taller than the SC as well. I had no issue with the MLC with the chin showing or anything like that...however it was unavoidable with the SC, it is very squat. The KS isnt much better in that aspect, although it is larger than the SC circumference wise. With the KS my chin was just at the edge of the faceplate. THE MLC i had about 3/4" or so of space.

 

That said everyones head /neck is different, so keep that in mind.

Ok, thanks. Would you say that the MLC has around the same circumference as the SC?

Its a little bit bigger..not much, but it is bigger. The MLC and the KS are about the same circumference wise give or take a fraction or so, the MLC is just a touch taller. The SC is a small helmet overall. It works great for smaller and/or smaller female scouts.
