Spycee
I bought suede at Tandy Leather, but it's suede on one side, and leather on the other side. For between the legs it's not important of course, but for the butt flap is it ? Do I have to do fold it in 2 and sew the borders to have suede on the 2 sides ? Don't want to go Lancer for the moment, but still want to do as closely as possible. Thanks !
Chunk
Put the suede side out on both the mud flap & the riding patch. As for the fold, don't need to fold anything. Cut your shape & sew directly on the jumpsuit.
Chef
yup, suede side out. Don't worry about trying to hem or edge it. leave it raw.
Spycee
Thanks guys ! So no folding, but I may sew around the piece (that's what "hem" means I think ?) to have a cleaner look, depending on what my wife wants, since it's her armor. Chef
The three 'free edges' on the butt flap are just cut. There isn't any sewing or doubling over of those edges at all. The thigh patches, yes, feel free to edge them. I use a fine zigzag stitch on mine to keep the edge of the suede neat.
Spycee
Oh, I didn't know, I saw it sewed in Pandatrooper's thread. Unsewed it will be then
