Ketchup
Hey gang, I'm painting my lid right now and had an idea to do some paint chips on the high corners of the helmet. I know this isn't seen on any screen scouts (as all the lids were vac-formed white plastic and not painted fiberglass like mine), but it's not stated as forbidden in the CRLs, either, so I was wondering if that would make for a passable Lancer lid. If not, cool, but if so, I think it will add a nice touch.
BikerScout007
The rule on weathering: as long as it's not overdone.
SulacoBoy
Just don't make it into a Shadow Scout. Haha.
Dart
Actually, they were painted (Ferrari White). That said, some good advice above. A little goes a long way.
4505Marcel
Weathering is fine if it's not too much, personally I hate the black over spray they put on the film scouts. No thought went into them in my eyes, I opted for some light earth tones. Similar to what actually would be found in a forest. Just don't go too heavy with the chips, if you look a real bikers helmets, small chips are common, so why not in the scouts
