Guest troop Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Hello to all. First time poster on any kind of forum so,be gentle with me.I hope I'm in the right area. I've been on about trooping up for years but never got to it. Well I want to have a finished set in time for my 40th. I was gonna go the tk route but have always had a soft spot for the scouts. Plus the extra mobility makes it a no brainer. Firtstly can anyone say if much happens in the UK? As I don't want to sink massive cash into a project only to find little use for it. I've had a good look around this forum and there are plenty of Americans up to all sorts but not many Brits. That could be me being a noob to forums tho. Gonna go sc for the armour by all accounts, but after that I'm not sure. All the advice seems to be in code. A few pointers would be great. Bear with. Cheers!
Dart Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Welcome to the good ship BS.N! Actually, lots of stuff happens in the UK. They have one of the larger and more active garrisons in the legion. I'm sure one of the locals will chime in and give you the dealio. SC is a good armour choice. The helmet really depends on how big your head measures. If you search around, you might notice that there's a bit more sizing variance with helmets. Anyway, be a sponge and soak up all the info.
Guest troop Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Cheers mateys. My head is spinning if I'm honest. I'm sure it will all come out in the wash.this helmet malarkey seems a proper minefield. I think I'll leave that bit till last. I'm not very crafty so need to buy as much finished clobber as I can get. I'm more of a nuts and bolts man. I've made a couple if decent lightsabers but this is something else. Any web sites or addresses for under suits and vests would be amazing as I plan to source that lot first. The posts I'm looking at, vendors seem to be in code. Hmmm. I'm on it tho!
Guest troop Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I seem to be in a total state of confusion lately! It must be going round. Thanks for the warm welcome.
