stasz
Well, it's about that time. I'm getting proper submission pics on Saturday, so I wanted to get these up here for my brothers to dissect. Known issues from pics: Level out thigh boxes (fronts too high) Thermal Det crooked (can't wait for new clips!) Missing balaclava Lemme have it!

Ammonites
Looks like the suit is a bit loose and bunched up. Should be fine though. Do you have the balaclava? I can see some skin under the bucket.
SulacoBoy
The TD is sagging a little bit but like you said you need your clips... And yeah your neck is showing. Need to cover it with a balaclava. Other than that looking good.
Darth Voorhees
looks to me that the cummerbund is a bit long. the belt should be along the bottom of the bund, right under the pouches, so the cummerbund should end around that area. It shouldnt be over your butt lol Other than that, everything everyone else and you mentioned, is about it. Looks great on ya. I wish i was that thin lol
spookymufu
I'm no expert (at all) but it does look like your part of the Gangsta Squad with the saggy pants the belt seems too low

I may have to whack an inch off the top of the bund. Thanks guys!

Do you have the balaclava? I can see some skin under the bucket. Did you mean the Bund? It may be helped by taking some off the top. It may also be helped by getting some more practice suiting up
khazara
Aspiring TB'er here... Looks great. You're going for Lancer, yes? With those heel cuts and knee rivets and everything. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
BikerScout007
Pull up the belt. This is something I see a lot because many of us have bunds that are too long. The scout belt should be resting on your hips. If the bund peeks out from under the belt after you do that, then you know the bund is too long. Other than that, looks good!
stasz
Thanks! I think when I measured I went too low thinking of where my normal belt sits. Gonna do a quick alteration after work.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Thank you! I didn't set out for Lancer. I wanted to do the heel cuts because it looks awesome and just didn't feel like scout boots without it. I did the 2nd knee strap to help keep them in place. Now, that being said, I really wish I would've used real suede because I think I'd be pretty much there. Now, the plan is to get approval, get some troops under my (properly placed) belt, and make the necessary adjustments for Lancer.

stasz
You spelled "badasses" wrong Yep, way too low. I knew it didn't feel right. Should be a pretty easy fix though.
matt8199
Can I ask just exactly what "LANCER" is and what it means? I know it's like all detailed and top of the line, but what does it get you? I guess that is what I don't understand. What does one get you that the other doesn't? Basically, what is the whole point of going "Lancer"? matt8199
I ask, because I am ALMOST doen with my Scout and have been reviewing all these posts (and many more) gathering up ALL the inof from everyone else! I have LANCER boots as you would say and everything else is top of the line custom made by the best. The only thing now is the real suede or faux suede? How much price difference is that and does it really even matter? That's what I need to know. Is it worth it basically.
BikerScout007
You don't get anything other than the personal satisfaction of knowing you did your best on your build and hopefully the admiration of your peers (but that's probably a stretch!) You need real suede to get Lancer status. It's a bit pricier but not obnoxiously so. I got a 6 ft sq piece of pigskin for $25 from Tandy Leather. And that was enough for thigh patches, butt flap and some leftover. But the vast majority of Scouts get on just fine with basic clearance. I'm just one of those people that wants to do everything the best possible, so not going for Lancer was never an option for me.
dankelzaga
Looking good my friend! Nice to have another trooper less than 20 minutes away from me. We'll be dodging trees together in no time. Has been great watching your progress here and on the Garrison forum. You obviously are down to business on the adjustments...won't be long till approval.

matt8199
Well, $25 certainly isn't a lot of money so that's cool. I'll proably just get that then. I have the proper boots already so it looks like if I go with real suede then I should be all set. Not that it matters I guess, but since I'm so close to it anyways, I might as well. It personally doesn't matter to me if Lancer or not, it makes no overall difference. Nobody can even really tell at just lookin real quick. A thorough closeup inspection would be neccessary. matt8199
I just got my BOOTS in the mail today. They look great. Unfortunately, I don't know how to put a picture on here. I'm not good with conputers. The only thing I have is Facebook and I can put photos from my phone on there, so that's what I do. I have pics of them on there. Still waiting on Armor. The lady responded to me e-mail and said that it would ship next week. Cool.

Then simply copy the link and paste in the forums. There are plenty of tutorials out there as well. Good luck!

stasz
Looking good my friend! Nice to have another trooper less than 20 minutes away from me. We'll be dodging trees together in no time. Has been great watching your progress here and on the Garrison forum. You obviously are down to business on the adjustments...won't be long till approval. I've got to give props to Dan, as he was the first Scout I saw up close and in person. His rig really inspired me to go for it (as well as his interaction with my apprehensive son - Dan actually asked my son if he could get a picture taken with him) it was so great. Here's TB60688 with Bob: Seeing Dan and Bill (a Clone Trooper who I also happen to work with) with all those kids pushed me to make this dream happen. I don't know Dan personally, and I don't know Bill well but they inspired me to make this happen, and I'm grateful to them for that. Here's my adjusted bund. I took an inch off the top and hitched up the belt. It felt a LOT better. Things felt like they were where they should be. It didn't close the pouch/belt space as much as I thought it would, but I'm 2/3rds torso. I think this is as good as it's going to get
BikerScout007
As long as the belt is resting on your hips, that's as good as it's gonna get! Nice work
